In the north of Italy, 380,000 inhabitants live in the university city of Bologna, an important junction for the entire region. The city has a long history, since the settlement developed more than 3,000 years ago. Especially in the Middle Ages, Bologna was an important economic centre, which is still reflected today in the architecture. The Cultural Capital of 2000 is therefore inviting visitors to a stroll through the picturesque Old Town. The Bologna Exhibition Centre covers a 375,000 m² area, stretched over 18 halls and several large outdoor areas, which are accessible via 5 entrances. When arriving by car, you may reach the exhibition on the motorway A14, exit "Bologna Fiere". A total of 14,500 parking spaces are available in Via Michelino and Piazza Costituzione. The International Airport Guglielmo Marconi offers a shuttle to the fairgrounds during major trade fairs. The train station is only 10 minutes away and is connected by the buses 35 and 38 with the Bologna Exhibition Centre. Several bus lines also connect the city centre with the exhibition.
