FaMeta Olching

Since 2021, the metalworking trade fair "FaMeta" has been held annually at the CNC Outlet Center in Olching, near Munich, after a 19-year hiatus. Originally hosted in Nuremberg, the event was relocated to Olching. It is organized by CNC Outlet Center GmbH, which aims to promote exchange and networking among professionals from trades, industry, and machining businesses across German-speaking countries.

The trade fair targets a clearly defined audience: admission is limited to industry professionals, including CNC programmers, machine operators, and executives or employees from small to large companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The event focuses on in-depth technical exchange. Alongside new and used turning, milling, and grinding machines, innovative solutions are showcased in areas such as tooling, industrial software, and automation.

FaMeta distinguishes itself with hands-on live demonstrations, expert lectures, and interactive workshops held directly at the machines. The event covers key topics in metalworking and manufacturing technology, especially CNC technology, modern machine tools, welding and joining techniques, and surface treatment—including electroplating and powder coating. In addition, current topics like digitalization, robotics, Industry 4.0, materials testing, quality assurance, and sustainable, energy-efficient production methods are prominently featured.

A unique advantage of FaMeta is the combination of technical depth with a relaxed, Bavarian networking atmosphere, enhanced by traditional offerings such as beer and informal social gatherings. The venue is easily accessible by car via the A8 motorway (Dachau/Fürstenfeldbruck exit) and the B471 federal road. Parking is available with a limited number of free spaces and additional paid public parking nearby.
