Polarzauber Zurich

In the heart of Zurich, set against the festive backdrop of the pre-Christmas season, the "Polarzauber" (Polar Magic) Christkindlimarkt shines with brilliant light every year. The market takes place annually during the Advent season and is Switzerland's largest indoor Christmas market. During this contemplative season, Zurich’s Main Station—one of Europe’s busiest transport hubs—transforms into a winter wonderland. The station hall’s impressive architecture provides a unique setting for the market, creating an atmosphere that blends historic charm with modern urban life.

The market is organized by Polarzauber AG. A combination of organizational expertise and creative design makes the event an annual highlight.

Market stalls line an area stretching across the station’s main hall, offering visitors everything from handcrafted goods to culinary delicacies. The market is renowned for its warm, inviting atmosphere, enhanced by spectacular Christmas lighting and decorations.

Traditional treats—such as Swiss raclette, spiced mulled wine, and exquisite chocolate creations—tempt visitors' senses, inviting them to linger and enjoy the experience. This aromatic array reflects Switzerland's culinary diversity.

Thanks to its central location within the Main Station, "Polarzauber" is easily accessible. Visitors can reach the market effortlessly from all parts of the city, whether on foot or via public transport.

Finally, it is worth noting that the market stands out not only for its festive ambiance and diverse offerings but also for its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

The Polarzauber will take place on 35 days from Thursday, 19. November to Wednesday, 23. December 2026 in Zurich.
