Profession, Education, Career (Beruf Bildung Karriere) Mühlhausen

Beruf.Bildung.Karriere. (BBK) – Jobs in the Region is an annual careers, education and employment fair open to the public in Mühlhausen, Thuringia, Germany. The event serves as a regional information and networking platform, bringing together employers, education and training providers, and individuals seeking information about apprenticeships, job opportunities and career development. It takes place at the Unstrut-Hainich Vocational School Campus in Mühlhausen and is organised by SAYS-marketing GmbH & Co. KG. Its aim is to encourage direct engagement between local employers and prospective apprentices, skilled workers and other jobseekers.

The BBK focuses on current job vacancies, apprenticeships, work placements, continuing professional development and vocational training. Businesses from a wide range of sectors showcase their activities and provide information about entry routes, job requirements and career progression opportunities. The event also offers guidance on retraining, career changes and individual career pathways. Through face-to-face discussions with recruiters, training managers and other company representatives, visitors can learn about employment prospects, recruitment procedures and the qualifications required for different roles.

The fair caters to a broad audience, including school pupils, school leavers, those entering the workforce, experienced employees, skilled professionals, career changers and people returning to work after a break. It also appeals to commuters seeking employment closer to home and individuals considering a return to Thuringia after living or working elsewhere. By highlighting local career opportunities, the BBK helps employers attract apprentices and qualified staff while raising awareness of the region's employment prospects.

One of the event's main advantages is the opportunity for direct interaction between visitors and exhibitors. Attendees can meet representatives from several employers in one location, ask questions relevant to their interests and establish valuable professional contacts. Unlike searching for vacancies solely through online job portals, the fair provides opportunities for face-to-face conversations and first-hand insights into the companies taking part. The emphasis is on practical information, specific job opportunities and personalised careers advice.

Exhibitors represent a diverse range of industries and sectors within the regional economy, including manufacturing, skilled trades, retail, services, healthcare and public administration. Education and training providers, along with careers advisory organisations, also offer information about vocational training routes, further education and professional qualifications. This broad representation gives visitors a comprehensive overview of employment and career development opportunities in the Unstrut-Hainich district and neighbouring areas of Thuringia.

The Unstrut-Hainich Vocational School Campus provides a suitable setting for the event, reflecting its close links with vocational education and training. The historic town of Mühlhausen is situated in north-western Thuringia and is accessible by road and public transport. Mühlhausen railway station offers connections to surrounding areas, with local transport services available for onward travel to the venue.

With its strong regional focus, the BBK brings together careers guidance, professional development and recruitment. It enables visitors to explore employment prospects and make informed career decisions while helping businesses connect with prospective apprentices and skilled professionals. In doing so, the fair contributes to addressing regional skills shortages, strengthening the local labour market and supporting the region's economic development.

The Profession, Education, Career (Beruf Bildung Karriere) will take place on Saturday, 25. September 2027 in Mühlhausen.
