Universities do not only serve as a place of studying and learning, but also as a meeting point. The jobMESSE fair gives students the chance to meet their potential future employer and vice versa, be it by initiating contact for internships, working student jobs or jobs for graduates or by introducing companies from various fields and opportunities that students have. Students and graduates of business administration programmes as the main target group of jobMESSE as well as students of other programmes such as media studies, business education studies, engineering management are invited to visit the fair. During the event, all the participating company stands offer the opportunity to get in touch with company representatives.

A vast pinboard-like jobWALL displays the latest job openings of participating companies, enabling interested applicants to contact the firms right away and personally. The jobWALL is divided into the categories "Internships & Working Students", "Final Theses" and "Trainees & Direct Entry". Selected companies present their firm, job opportunities, trainee programmes and real-life case studies to interested students during 30 minute presentations in separate rooms. All participating companies are introduced in the companies catalog through a company profile or an advert, which gives visitors a compact overview of all relevant information. Students can also have their application photo taken by professional photographers for free.

The jobMESSE takes place annually, and therefore for the eleventh time previsibly in May 2025 in Essen.
