Eurofurence Hamburg

The Eurofurence Convention, founded in 1998, is the beating heart of the European "furry" scene. In 2023 it took place for the first time in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, after being based in Berlin until 2020. The abbreviation "Eurofurence" is representative of a meeting place for artists, fans and lovers of anthropomorphic animal representations - characters that combine human-like features with animal characteristics.

It is organized by Eurofurence e.V. and attracts thousands of visitors every year, usually at the end of August or beginning of September, to the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) - an impressive place in the heart of the city that impresses with both its modern architecture and its excellent accessibility. The Eurofurence is not just a trade fair, but a melting pot of creativity, the main themes of which are art, film and especially costume making. Artists are given the opportunity to present their works, which often include fascinating depictions of anthropomorphic animal figures, to a knowledgeable audience. In addition, lectures, tutorials and workshops on various artistic disciplines are offered.

Another highlight of the fair is the artist sales area, where unique creations are exhibited and later auctioned. This goes hand in hand with an impressive fursuit show, where visitors appear in lovingly hand-made, often self-sewn costumes, ranging from colorful huskies to foxes and fantasy figures. Hamburg, known for its openness and diversity, offers the ideal setting for such an event. The fair has a positive influence on the city's cultural life, and its visitors bring a rich variety from all over the world. The visitors come not only from the artistic field, but also from many other industries.

The Eurofurence will take place on 4 days from Wednesday, 03. September to Saturday, 06. September 2025 in Hamburg.
