FLORIAN Dresden

The FLORIAN, organized by ORTEC Messe und Kongress GmbH, is an international trade fair in Dresden, specializing in firefighting, fire protection, disaster management, and civil protection. Since its inception in 1997, FLORIAN has established itself as a leading platform in these fields and is typically held annually over three days in October. The only exception is during the years when Interschutz takes place in Hanover.

The name "FLORIAN" is derived from Saint Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, who is closely associated with fire protection in European, particularly Catholic, traditions. This name not only symbolizes the fair's focus but also represents the professions and institutions active in these areas. The fair’s objective is to showcase the latest technologies, services, and developments in fire and disaster protection.

Located in Dresden, the exhibition features a wide range of the latest technologies and advancements in emergency response and disaster management. It caters to professionals as well as the general public, presenting innovations such as modern firefighting equipment, advanced rescue vehicles, and up-to-date software solutions for civil protection.
