The FLORIAN, organized by ORTEC Messe und Kongress GmbH, is an international trade fair in Dresden, specializing in firefighting, fire protection, disaster management, and civil protection. Since its inception in 1997, FLORIAN has established itself as a leading platform in these fields and is typically held annually over three days in October. The name "FLORIAN" is derived from Saint Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, who is closely associated with fire protection in European, particularly Catholic, traditions. The fair’s objective is to showcase the latest technologies, services, and developments in fire and disaster protection.
