Interschutz Hanover

The Interschutz is the world’s leading trade fair for fire and disaster protection, emergency services and security solutions. It is widely regarded as the key meeting point for professionals responsible for protection, rescue operations and crisis management.

The event is organised by Deutsche Messe AG, one of the world’s largest trade fair organisers, headquartered in Hannover. It takes place at the expansive Hannover Messegelände, one of the largest and most modern exhibition centres globally. Held every four years, Interschutz attracts several hundred thousand trade visitors from across the world.

The exhibition focuses on highly specialised areas including firefighting technology and fire suppression, emergency medical services, civil protection and disaster management, as well as communications and control centre systems. These are complemented by forward-looking topics such as the use of artificial intelligence in incident management, the digital transformation of emergency services, sustainable response vehicles and strategies for managing climate-related extreme events. In this way, the event not only showcases the current state of the art but also helps shape the future direction of the sector.

Exhibits range from state-of-the-art fire engines, specialist and rescue vehicles, medical equipment and personal protective equipment to drones, hazardous materials detection systems and advanced software for command, control and crisis management. The scope extends from robust solutions for emergency drinking water treatment to AI-powered command centres, many of which are unveiled to an international audience for the first time.

Exhibitors represent industries such as vehicle manufacturing, medical technology, IT and telecommunications, chemical and safety engineering, as well as research and development. Visitors include decision-makers from fire services, emergency services, civil protection organisations, government authorities, the military and industry, alongside planners and engineers.

Key highlights include realistic live demonstrations, while expert forums and presentations provide in-depth insights into current challenges such as civil defence, the resilience of critical infrastructure and the management of CBRN threats.

The exhibition grounds are easily accessible via Hannover Airport as well as an extensive rail and motorway network, ensuring straightforward travel for international visitors. Overall, Interschutz offers not only exceptional professional depth but also a superbly organised platform for international exchange at the highest level.

On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 6 days of the fair, from 08. June to 13. June 2015, about 1500 exhibitors from 51 countries and 157000 visitors from 49 countries on the Interschutz in Hanover.
