Railway Forum Berlin

Since its inception in 2013, the Railway Forum has established itself as the leading biennial trade fair and conference for the international railway industry in Germany. The event takes place at the modern Estrel Convention Center in the heart of Berlin, which, as Europe’s largest hotel and congress center, provides ideal conditions for high-level industry gatherings. Organized by the experienced IPM AG in close cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, the Railway Forum brings together decision-makers, industry experts, and innovative companies to discuss the key future topics of rail mobility in a targeted and practice-oriented manner.

The focus is on four current core topics: The digitalization of the railway sector—particularly through the expansion of ETCS infrastructure, AI-based travel optimization, and 5G connectivity—forms a central pillar. In addition, the recruitment, development, and retention of skilled professionals in the face of demographic change, along with modern leadership models and diversity, are increasingly moving into focus. Decarbonization through renewable energy, sustainable materials, and energy efficiency measures also plays a vital role. The thematic spectrum is rounded off by innovative approaches for resilient, transparent supply chains in an international context.

The trade fair showcases a wide range of products and services, from solutions offered by leading railway operators and train manufacturers to infrastructure OEMs and their supply chain teams.
