The festival is organised by Lorenz GmbH, based in Dessau-Roßlau, through its arts and event management division. According to the company, it has many years of experience in organising festivals and events, with expertise now spanning three generations. The concept focuses on diversity, a welcoming atmosphere, personal interaction and workshops, alongside a carefully balanced selection of exhibitors.

The exhibition focuses on wool and premium yarns, knitting, crochet and a variety of creative textile and handicraft techniques. Products on offer include pure new wool and merino, alpaca, mohair and cashmere yarns, as well as cotton, silk, blended and hand-dyed yarns. The range also includes knitting needles, crochet hooks, circular knitting needles, yarn winders, swifts, scissors, counting frames, patterns and other craft accessories. Handmade items, one-off pieces and creative designer products complement the selection.
