vocatium Hanover

The vocatium fair, an event focused on educational and vocational guidance, takes place annually at the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC). The HCC is not just a significant event location but is also architecturally intriguing. It houses a variety of spaces that can accommodate a wide range of event types and sizes, including conferences, fairs, concerts, and social gatherings. The HCC is located in the heart of the city, in close proximity to the Hannover City Park, one of the largest and most beautiful urban parks in Germany.

Since its inception in 2008, the vocatium fair has been organized by the IfT Institute for Talent Development, which specializes in individual career planning and further education. In addition to Hannover, the IfT Institute organizes vocatium fairs at numerous other locations in Germany, forming part of a nationwide network focused on individual vocational and study orientation for students and young people. The unique concept of the fair, based on scheduled conversations, has proven successful at over 80 locations in Germany. Education, vocational orientation, study, training, and further education are the main topics, with representatives from businesses, universities, and institutions across various sectors. Particular emphasis is placed on personal counseling sessions, information booths, and lectures, which assist visitors in their professional orientation. A highlight of the fair is the so-called "speed-dating" with potential employers and educational institutions, which allows visitors to make numerous interesting contacts in a short time. The vocatium fair is considered one of the most successful of its kind in Germany and has over the years evolved into an important meeting point for students, graduates, career starters, and employers.
