Manga-Comic-Con Leipzig
19. - 22. March 2026 | The event for all Manga, comics, cosplay and game fans
The Manga-Comic-Con is one of the most prominent events for manga, anime, comic and cosplay enthusiasts in the German-speaking world. Since its debut in 2014, it has drawn tens of thousands of visitors from across Europe each year to the cultural hub of Leipzig in Saxony.
As an integral part of the Leipzig Book Fair, the Manga-Comic-Con takes place at the state-of-the-art Leipzig Exhibition Centre – more specifically in the iconic Glass Hall, a light-filled architectural landmark that perfectly embodies creativity and exchange.
The event is organised by the long-established Leipziger Messe GmbH, a company with over 850 years of experience in hosting major public events.
At the heart of the convention are Japanese manga, international comics, anime culture, imaginative cosplay, and interactive experiences. From signings with renowned mangaka and comic artists, to themed workshops on illustration and design, and screenings in the anime cinema – Manga-Comic-Con offers an immersive experience for all ages and levels of fandom. The cosplay competitions and live stage shows are particular highlights, showcasing an astonishing array of intricately crafted costumes and original performances.
Exhibitors represent a wide range of sectors including publishing, illustration, fashion, merchandise, gaming, digital media and the creative industries. They unveil new releases, offer exclusive products, and foster a space for dialogue and discovery. Attendees include fans, collectors, artists, cosplayers, and professionals from the pop culture, media and creative scenes – many of whom travel from across Germany and abroad to be part of this vibrant celebration.
A visit is twice as rewarding: beyond the convention itself, the host city Leipzig impresses with its dynamic cultural landscape and excellent transport links – whether by train, car or air. The Manga-Comic-Con is more than just a trade fair: it is a dynamic meeting point for creative minds, fans and visionaries from all over Europe.
